From November 11 to 14, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon, one of the world’s largest and most influential technology conferences.
As part of the Romanian Pavilion, we showcased our expertise in custom software development, AI-driven solutions, and digital transformation, connecting with global tech leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

What is Web Summit?
Web Summit is a major global technology conference held annually in Lisbon, Portugal. It brings together startups, investors, tech leaders, and media to discuss the latest trends in technology, innovation, and business.
The event features keynote speeches from industry leaders, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and startup pitch competitions.
Originally founded in 2009 in Dublin, Ireland, Web Summit has grown into one of the largest and most influential tech conferences in the world, attracting tens of thousands of attendees from various industries, including AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and digital marketing.
We engaged with the tech community from our stand
Web Summit brought together thousands of professionals, investors, and decision-makers, making it the perfect platform for us to share insights and explore cutting-edge technological advancements.
At this event, we had our own stand where we engaged in valuable conversations about how Roweb’s digital solutions can drive business growth and innovation.
Mirel Ionescu, Sebastian Ailioaie, Stefan Nicolae, and Valentin Necsuleu were the company’s representatives in Lisbon. They enjoyed discussing their passion for tech with people in the community and promoting Roweb’s services among potential clients.
We also loved meeting with our existing clients and sharing ideas on how we can strengthen our collaboration and deliver even better services to them.
Sebastian shared knowledge in an interview with ARIES
A major highlight was Sebastian Ailioaie’s interview with ARIES, where he shared key takeaways from the conference and his perspective on the Romanian technology scene. He also talked about the company and its future goals for the next years.
“Romania has such a large technology export, and there are so many great tech companies in Romania. We are proud to have been selected as part of this delegation and hope to honor Romania through our participation” – were some of the thoughts Sebastian shared during the interview.

Additionally, we were honored to attend the Romanian Technology Night, a prestigious event hosted by the Romanian Embassy in Lisbon.
This gathering provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen connections with fellow industry leaders and acknowledge the efforts of our Ambassador Daniela Gîtman in promoting Romanian innovation in Portugal.
