October has been full of exciting events and conferences! One of the events that we attended was GITEX Technology Week, in Dubai, UAE. This was the 37th edition of a conference that aims to bring together experts in multiple industry verticals – transport, AI, AR & VR, IoT, retail, network infrastructure & security, finance, education, marketing, healthcare, smart manufacturing and robotics – to discuss chalenges and options and develop plans.
Dubai was the perfect location for such an event, as it is a dynamic innovation hub that has reinvented itself in the past few decades as a global investment hub and travel destination, well-known for its skyline, driverless metro and artificial islands.
The Romanian companies’ participation was facilitated by ARIES in partnership with the Romanian Ministry for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship. In total, there were over 145,000 participants and over 4,400 exhibitors from 97 countries. Dubai’s Consul and the UAE Ambassador also attended the conference.
Our company’s participation was part of our strategy to test new markets. We had a chance to discuss opportunities and network with participants from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and many others, entrepreneurs, start-ups and large enterprises. They wanted to now more about our services and what differentiates them. We had a chance to tell them more about our mobile development, web application development and IT security services and present the level of quality that sets us apart from our competitors.
We also had a chance to to visit other stands, network with our colleagues and exchange ideas. The robotics exhibit was particularly impressive, boasting an autonomous public bus, the world’s first fire fighting drone, first electric autonomous truck and shuttle bus, 3D-printed humanoid robots, fire fighting robots, an automated petrol station and an automated chocolate factory.
We enjoyed getting to know the local culture and we’re looking forward to going back next year!
