This month we teamed up with the Computer Science Department at the University of Pitesti (UPIT) for Roweb Connect Day, an event meant to engage students interested in starting a career in software development.
We were happy to have dozens of attendees from years 1 to 3 as well as Master’s students, eager to find out more about the opportunity to start an internship and hopefully join our team as full-time employees.
Main topics at the event
Our Senior Developers told them about our company, the technologies that we use and what their day-to-day work is like. They also presented a few web development and mobile projects from our portfolio, to give them a better idea about our work and the kind of skills that they could learn if they apply for our Summer Internship program.
They shared their insight on building a career in software, current market demands and the best strategies to develop skills as a student to make sure you’re highly competitive after graduation and what a regular day in the life of a software engineer looks like.
