We were glad to participate in the Tech Edition of the Science Fair hosted by the “Dinicu Golescu” Arges County Library, in order to support the local STEM community. This was the second edition of the event, organized in partnership with the Progress Foundation, Code Kids Romania and Simplon Romania, together with local partners: ROWEB, the members of the Watt’s up team of the “Dinicu Golescu” National College in Campulung and the Academy for Endowed Children. The Coding Clubs of the Public Libraries in Merisani, Vladesti, and Topoloveni also took part. Some of the students attending the Science Fair were doing so as part of the Different School program.
Supporting the community is very important to us, and this was yet another opportunity to do so, in addition to our internship programs, our partnerships with the universities in Pitesti and Craiova, various sponsorship activities and being part of the jury in competitions for high school and university students.
We presented a few hardware elements that we had built, including by using a 3D printer, to inspire and motivate middle and high school children aspiring to a career in IT.
We took this opportunity to establish relationships with coding club members in Pitesti, to support education and build relationships with high school teachers, and to share information about the labor market demands and enable them to prepare their students in the ways that will benefit them the most once they graduate.
